We comply with and support OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Supply Chains to expel violations
of human rights, child labor and violence from the mineral supply chain

Overview and Policy

  • SungEel HiTech is concerning about crimes against humanity and armed clash that is causing serious conflict and violation of human right, such as forced labor, human trafficking, child labor and sexual abuse that may be involved in the export, extraction, trading and processing minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk areas.
  • SungEel HiTech respects the dignity and importance of human rights and considers any mineral that may pose risks of contributing the harm listed in Annex II of OECD Guidelines to be ‘conflict minerals’. SungEel HiTech will only purchase Cobalt-c-ontaining materials from sources that have been verified as not involving or contributing to illegal armed groups, human rights violations, or financial wrongdoings as defined in Annex II of the OECD Guidance.

Serious abuses associated with the extraction, transport or trade of minerals:

  • Any forms of torture, cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment;
  • Any forms of forced or compulsory labor;
  • The worst forms of child labor;
  • Other gross human rights violations and abuses such as widespread sexual violence;
  • War crimes or other serious violations of international humanitarian law, crimes against humanity or genocide.

 Direct or indirect support to non-state armed groups.

Direct or indirect support to public or private security forces.

Bribery and fraudulent misrepresentation of the origin of minerals.

  • Money laundering.
  • Non-payment of taxes, fees and royalties to governments.

Additional risk(s): Occupational health and safety conditions
that are not adequate to maintain the miners’, direct and indirect employees’ physical and mental health.

And SungEel HiTech has taken care of the “Cobalt Refiner Supply Chain Due Diligence Standard” according to support minerals sourcing policy.

Conduct due diligence based on “OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chain of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas”
to relevant suppliers which are in conflict and high risk areas, and encourage them to do the same for their suppliers.

  • Provide due diligence result to prove that supply chain
    does not support conflict, and look forward to supplier’s cooperation by providing this information.
  • Immediately stop cooperating with suppliers, who provide reasonable risk that may led conflict support.
  • Represent reports when there is any demand on customers, relevant stakeholders, and the public, to raise transparency.

2) If you submit a grievance or objection to the department in charge, the person in charge will review it and take action and notify you separately
